Norman Mailer (31 Ocak 1923, New Jersey - 10 Kasım 2007, New York) Amerikalı gazeteci, romancı, oyun yazarı, film yönetmeni, senarist.

Brooklyn'de büyüyen yazar, Harvard Üniversitesi'ne girdi. II. Dünya Savaşı sonrası eğitimine Sorbonne'de devam eden Mailer, Fransa'nın en prestijli ödüllerinden biri olan Legion d'Honneur (Lejyon Denör) ödülü sahibidir. Bu ödül, Fransa Cumhurbaşkanı Jack Chirac adına, Fransa'nın ABD büyükelçisi tarafından yazara sunulmuştur. Pasifikte savaşan 13 askerin öyküsünü anlattığı romanı Çıplak Ve Ölü (ordudaki deneyimlerine dayanarak yazmıştır), dünya çapında büyük başarı kazandı. Norman Mailer, Pulitzer Ödülü sahibidir.
