Alfred DuPont Chandler Jr. (15 Eylül 1918 - 9 Mayıs 2007), Harvard Business School ve Johns Hopkins Üniversitesi'nde modern şirketlerin ölçeği ve yönetim yapıları hakkında kapsamlı yazılar yazan bir işletme tarihi profesörüdür. Çalışmaları, sanayileşmenin iş ve ekonomi tarihini yeniden tanımladı. The Visible Hand: The Managerial Revolution in American Business (1977) adlı çalışmasıyla Pulitzer Tarih Ödülü'nü aldı. Hem Amerikan Sanat ve Bilim Akademisi'nin hem de Amerikan Felsefe Topluluğu'nun bir üyesiydi.^[1][2] "Amerikan iş tarihçilerinin duayeni" olarak anılmıştır.^[3]
