Robert Newton (1. jun 1905 - 25. mart 1956) bio je engleski glumac, najpoznatiji po ulogama pirata u hollywoodskim filmovima. U njima je namjerno koristio prenaglašeni West Country dijalekt engleskog iz rodne Jugozapadne Engleske, uključujući znamenitu frazu "Arrrh, matey", stvorivši tako popularnu predodžbu o "piratskom govoru" i podlogu za kasnije uvedeni Međunarodni dan govorenja poput pirata. Privatni život su mi obilježili alkoholizam i financijski problem, a umro je od srčanog udara.

Oliver Reed ga je kasnije navodio kao svoj veliki uzor i poticaj da započne glumačku karijeru.
