Sheykh Shaban (Persian: شيخ شبان)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Howmeh Rural District of the Central District of Ben County, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 census, its population was 2,689 in 666 households, when it was in Vardanjan Rural District of the former Ben District of Shahrekord County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 2,586 people in 732 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 2,683 people in 842 households, by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Ben County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with the city of Ben as its capital and only city at that time.[4] Sheykh Shaban was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]
