Sadiq-ur-Rahman Kidwai is an Indian writer,^[1]^[2]^[3] academician and a former dean of the School of Languages, Jawaharlal Nehru University,^[4]^[5]^[6] known for his scholarship in Urdu literature.^[7] He is the secretary of the Ghalib Institute,^[4] renowned educational and cultural institution in Delhi^[8] and a member of the Goethe Society of India.^[9]^[10] He was honored by the Government of India, in 2010, with the fourth highest Indian civilian award of Padma Shri.^[11]
