Neomyxus leuciscus és una espècie de peix de la família dels mugílids i de l'ordre dels mugiliformes.[4]

Morfologia

  • Els mascles poden assolir 46 cm de longitud total.[5][6]

Reproducció

És ovípar i els ous pelàgics.[7]

Alimentació

Menja algues i crustacis.[5]

Hàbitat

És un peix de clima tropical i associat als esculls de corall que viu fins als 4 m de fondària.[5][8]

Distribució geogràfica

Es troba a la Samoa Nord-americana, les Illes Carolines, les Illes Cook, la Polinèsia Francesa,[9][10] Guam, Hawaii,[11][12] el Japó,[13] Kiribati, les Illes Marqueses, les Illes Marshall, Micronèsia,[14][15] les Illes Mariannes, les Illes Ogasawara[16] i Samoa.[17][18][19][20]

Observacions

És inofensiu per als humans.[21][5]
